As a child
development specialist, Karen helps children with difficulties
that impact their development at home, at school, and in their
relationships with others. She works with children of all
ages.
She provides diagnosis,
treatment, case management, parent training, behavior management and
advocacy for children and their families. Online
consultation is available.
Karen is familiar with
resources in the community and has
ongoing relationships with schools, agencies, hospitals, and other
professionals. She often helps
parents create and manage interdisciplinary teams that work
together with their child.
Behavioral and
social skill interventions are created by Karen for children
that require this service. Interventions are implemented
both at home and at school by behavioral
consultants that are trained and supervised by
Karen.
Karen
teaches parents how to work with their child's teacher
and school in a collaborative way that
facilitates cooperation and good will. Her goal is to create a team
that works together for the best interest of each child. Karen
often collaborates with legal advocates and attends
IEP'S.
Karen also provides parent
education, program development, professional training,
and classes for schools, hospitals, corporations, and other
